Cllr John Beanse
Currently Chair of Chingford and Woodford Green Liberal Democrats, John was educated at local schools; Apart from time studying or travelling & working abroad, he have lived locally in the constituency all his life. He studied Modern Languages at Cambridge and trained to be a teacher at Goldsmiths' College, London. During his teaching career he taught in comprehensive schools in Redbridge and Herts. At various times Head of House, Head of Sixth Form, Head of Modern Languages. Now a Modern Languages Examiner, he also gives many Travel Talks to various groups. He is, in addition, an Accredited Speaker for the Electoral Reform Society. He was the last Chairman of the local Community Health Council and is a governor of 2 local schools. He is a Committee member of Help on Call (Chingford Christian Care).
He became an active Liberal in 1974. He has personally edited around 200 local leaflets, some constituency-wide and others editions of FOCUS both in Hale End & Highams Park and in North Chingford. In May, 2006, He was elected to Waltham Forest Council in Hale End & Highams Park ward - one of 3 gains in that ward from the Conservatives. He is Vice-Chair of the Council's Overview & Scrutiny sub-committee on Health, Adults and Older People and serves also on several other committees. On many occasions he has spoken at Party Conferences and has had a good number of letters published in the local and national press. He has spoken on Radio 4 & Radio 5 Live, on Carlton TV and also "live" on BBC TV (televised speeches from Conference).

Dr Geoffrey Michael Seeff
Geoff Seeff is currently the constituency party's vice-chairman and chairman of its political sub-committee. He was the founder convener for the Redbridge SDP in 1981 and since the merger of the the SDP and LIberal parties in 1987 has been actively involved in the affairs of the party at both local and national level. He was the parliamentary candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green in 1997, the GLA candidate for Redbridge and Havering in 2000 and the Parliamentary candidate for Romford in 2005. He is married to Deanna, a schools counsellor, and they have two adult children. By profession Geoff is a chartered accountant and management consultant who has specialised advising on the economics of urban regeneration. Other fields in which he is particularly interested include corporate social responsibility, climate change and the arts.
